Although large, this garden has intimate spaces and a sense of space with colours, movements and shadows.
Large rugged blocks of York stone are used as elegant floating steps to the two terraces. Geometric yew volumes contrast with masses of flopping hydrangeas while mature trees, chosen for their spring blossoms and vivid autumn colours lead the eye to the back of the garden. A pair of hand-painted walls create a focal point around the polished concrete terrace.
